Triathlon & Duathlon
Club members have always been involved in a wide range of sports as well as the established Athletics and road running disciplines . In the clubs Thirtieth anniversary year it was thought fitting to recognise the growing numbers of members taking part in duathlons and triathlons and the achievements of members representing GB at these disciplines by affiliating the club to the Triathlon Governing Body.
This gives members who join England Tri association a discount joining fee for being part of affiliated Tri club and then once an England Tri member (£35) discount race fees as day insurance cover(@£3-5 per race) is included in annual fee and quarterly magazines ,Race diary/handbook etc.

The main advice is to just have a try at Cycling and Swimming as we are convinced it will ultimately benefit your all round fitness and resistance to injury. Most opinion would agree that running too many miles on the road are to be avoided. Cycling and running are ideal ways to keep and improve aerobic fitness while avoiding the impact and stresses of road running.
